Mr. Aldo Uva is the CEO at CSM Ingredients a worldwide and global Food Ingredients Leader.

He is the Founder of TooA, an innovative Food-Tech company active in the ice-cream industry and Board Member at Blue Horizon Corporation, a leading Investor on a mission to replace animal proteins with with healthy alternatives to transform the future of food.

Till February 1st, 2021, Mr. Aldo Uva has served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief R&D Officer and President Americas at the LIVEKINDLY Co., an innovative food company in the plant-based food industry. In his role, Mr. Uva was in charge of the Agri, Science, R&D, Innovation and Operations Teams and President for the Americas Region.

Prior to joining the LIVEKINDLY co., Mr. Uva was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Open Innovation Officer at Ferrero, the third largest Chocolate Confectionary Group worldwide.

As Chief Open Innovation Officer, Mr. Uva directed all activities related to the Group’s Breakthrough and Open Innovation, coordinating the Scientific Research Teams and the Innovation Research hubs in New York, Singapore and Luxembourg.

As COO, he oversaw numerous teams: Foodservice; Travel Retail; Corporate Communication and Public Relations; I.T.; Procurement; Raw Materials and Agricultural Enterprises; Sustainability & Risk Management; Nutrition & Health; Technical R&D and Supply Chain.

Before joining Ferrero, Mr. Uva was President and SVP at Firmenich and CEO of the Flavor Division, where he began in July 2009. Reporting to the CEO, he was responsible for creating, driving and delivering the company’s strategic goals for the division.

?Prior to Firmenich, Mr. Uva was the CEO at Natuzzi, a global Italian furniture manufacturing company, listed on the NYSE. He joined Natuzzi as CEO in 2008 with the challenge of turning around the business, which he successfully accomplished during his tenure at the company.

In 2007-2008, Mr. Uva worked for Nestlé as VP and Head of the Global Beverages and Food Services Division, where he assumed worldwide responsibility for the Beverage business.

From 2001-2007, he held various positions at the Sara Lee Corporation, starting as the Regional VP for the Americas and South Europe for the Household and Body Care Division and Global Head Bath and Shower. After two years he took over the responsibility as CEO for the North America Coffee and Tea Division. His last role at Sara Lee Senior VP of Transformation and Corporate Officer.

For four years prior to Sara Lee, Mr. Uva was CEO of North and Central America, Mexico and Caribbean for Parmalat, one of the largest milk companies in the world.

Mr. Uva started his career at the Italian multinational Indesit Company, a leading European manufacturer of domestic appliances. He spent thirteen years at Indesit, where he held several roles, the last as CEO for Russia, Central and Eastern Europe.

Graduated in Economy at the University of Bologna – Italy, Mr. Uva is an Alumni at the Singularity University of Cupertino – California, where he has attended the Executive Program and now meber of the SU Global Community.

Speakers and Panelist in several events in US, EU and speker at TEDX, Mr. Uva is passionate about the evolution of the food value chain, the Future of Food and the pivotal role of Ingredients in the food transformation.

Italian, married with 3 childern, Mr. Uva is a marathon runner and has lived as expatriate in Moscow, Chicago, Mexico City, Barcelona, Lausanne, Luxembourg and New York City.
